Shirley, originally from Grosse Point Michigan, has lived in Nashville for over 12 years. She’s a mom to three boys and works full-time as a hospitality recruiter. Shirley has held various roles from event server to General Manager in the hospitality world. She did some short stints in childcare & logistics but keeps coming back to what she knows best! When she’s not recruiting or running events, you'll find her spending time with her family and their pup, Little Bit.

Emily is a Nashville native, dog mom to her pup, Bailey, an amateur backyard gardener and DIY queen. She got her start in hospitality working as a carhop and manager at Sonic throughout high school and college. Now, she works full-time in the music industry. When she’s not crunching numbers or running events, you will most likely find her working in the yard or working on her latest home project.

The Story behind Simply Events Nashville
Shirley and Emily met while working for a local restaurant almost a decade ago. Throughout their time there they became good friends (some might even say best friends!). Fast forward to 2020, many people were having to postpone their big wedding plans, and Emily’s brother and sister-in-law were one of them. So, Emily recruited Shirley and one of their chef friends to do a small backyard wedding for them.
After the wedding, they were reminded of how well they worked together and how much they truly enjoyed catering and event coordination. This sparked the idea to form Simply Events Nashville so they could be in charge of their side hustle schedule. What started out as a plan to do a few events a year, has become bigger than they could have imagined. In addition to their own catering and coordination services, they’ve also partnered with other caterers in Nashville to provide staffing for their events. Whether you need event staff, full or partial catering & bartending, or event coordination, Simply Events Nashville can help!
